Lam Lighting Has Redesigned, Updated Full-Line Product Binder
Santa Ana, California, May, 2006 — Lam Lighting, a pioneering designer and manufacturer of high-performance indirect and indirect/direct lighting solutions, a division of the JJI Lighting Group, Inc., has announced availability of a new Full Line Product Binder. The 2-inch binder shows Lam Lighting to be an innovative manufacturer of an extraordinarily broad and growing line performance indirect lighting, with an equal focus on aesthetics and performance. Five of the tabbed sections contain full-color product brochures, professional product and application photographs, and complete technical data that details Lam's pendant, linear, asymmetric, wall mount and cove fixtures. A sixth tabbed section contains a new product selection guide. It helps users identify the optional product that meets specific installation needs, as well as allowing users to view sample applications. The new product selection guide also defines Lam's unique Performance Indirect concept and addresses frequent lighting concerns such as energy code requirements and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. The full-color, catalog-style guide uses a concise, highly informative, easy-to-read format showcasing the broad range of Lam Lighting innovative products and applications for performance indirect lighting technology. The first half of the Product Selection Guide and Color Chart defines performance indirect lighting and reviews its features and benefits such as its ability to eliminate glare and shadows, and enhance a human feeling of well being when properly applied. Lam Product Selection Guide and Color Chart Covers performance indirect technologies, lamping and precision-engineered reflector. The latter help professional lighting designers and specifiers comply with an array of lighting' challenges. These include stringent state and national energy codes, the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System(r), and computer-intensive electronic office environments. New Product: Luxxtra FL — High-performance indirect compact fluorescent lighting fixtures. Design: Lam Lighting In-House Research and Development Team. Manufacturer: Lam Lighting, a division of the JJI Lighting Group, Inc. Product Applications: Luxxtra FL luminaries offer exceptional high-performance with energy-efficiency. A choice of uplight/downlight combinations allow Luxxtra FL the flexibility to be used in virtually any public or private commercial, institutional or light industrial environ. These include corporate building lobbies and reception areas, schools, gymnasiums, retail, warehouse or manufacturing areas. Product Description: Luxxtra FL embodies a contemporary, industrial-derived design. The architectural profile of the broad, disc-shaped housing remains unobtrusive in the space, while the unadorned frame and conical lens create a constant subtle design statement. A slender rigid stem is finished to match the fixture housing and available in a choice of lengths to accommodate high- and low-ceiling spaces. Galvanized steel chain or aircraft cable mounts are also available. The conical lens option reduces glare while internal linear prisms assure broad, even light distribution. Luxxtra FL models can be specified in uplight-only, dowlight-only or combination uplight/downlight. Illumination is provided by eight biaxial or three 120-watt PLH compact fluorescent lamps, which mimic illumination levels and light quality of metal halide lamps, yet provide up to 40% greater operating efficiency and improved color. The PLH lamp can be used in environments with high ambient temperatures, without loss of lumen output. Construction & Finishes: Luxxtra FL is constructed from cold-rolled steel in a standard textured white baked enamel finish. Other finish options may be specified.
